The AnnexThe Annex was started ten years ago, initially due to Adrian’s background of cabinetmaking; bespoke furniture was the basis of the business.
However due to the opening of a retail outlet in central Norwich five years ago, sales of mirrors.clocks,rugs,throws etc have taken off. Regular trips to Eastern Europe and Asia have ensured that stock is of a competitive price and high quality.2007 proved to be the most successful yet as the business was voted by an independent body to be the best shop for home ware in the area.
Due to the fact that each piece is made totally to the customers requirement, our lead time is eight weeks,indeed should a customer require a painted finish,up to six coats are needed hence the extended time.Our reclaimed furniture is made from old timber which may date back 70 years or more, thus ensuring stability and depth of colour impossible to reproduce with new wood.Alternativly if a painted finish is required seasoned redwood proves to be both stable and cost effective.
